Hello, I’m Lexie, your biophilic room whisperer

I believe,

A beautiful home isn’t just about style & decor,

It isn’t about some ‘magic’ that only the chosen possess,

It’s within your reach.

i’m so happy you found me.

Welcome! You’re right where you’re meant to be… If you’ve been thinking:
  • How do I create a home that feels like ‘me, not like a magazine?
  • Why does my house not feel like a home even though it’s decorated?

Instinctively, you know there are ways to figure it out…

But right now, something feels off in your rooms and you can’t even explain it.

So, you open your Pinterest boards again, and…

“Sigh”.

If so, you’re exactly where you need to be, friend!

What if I told you

Mural wallpaper

can make you feel more agitated or relaxed.

Wall Color

can make you feel that the room is cooler/warmer than the actual temperature in the room.

Lights

can help you focus on your numbers better or make you wake up in the middle of the night (long after they’ve been switched off).

Seating arrangements

can cause people to be more confrontational or laid-back.

And yes,

you can take the guesswork out and rely on scientifically proven biophilic principles.
They show how design and decor affect our very physical being.

I’m here to help you

figure out which is which, and what’s going to work for you, not for everyone, you.

I just happen to love diving deep into all of that.

My background

It helps that:

I’m a wallpaper & textile designer

who lives and breathes color, texture, and pattern.

When I create, I pore over every image and pattern and I want people to feel happy with my designs in their homes.

So, I create designs specifically to enhance your mental wellbeing while delighting your senses.

I Focus on Wellbeing & Mental Health

It also helps that I know first-hand the burden of stress and burnout.

In my previous career in a large international NGO I’ve interacted with people from 90 nationalities in 60+ countries.

As enriching as it was, I was longing to come home, shut the door and de-stress, be restored and recover from mental fatigue.

It was tough, but working with people from all walks of life I noticed something universal: we all share an innate desire to create spaces that make us feel simultaneously protected and connected to something larger than ourselves.

I’ve learned to explain complex things in simple terms to people of all ages, from elementary schools to corporate trainings.

I’ve spent decades figuring out how to help people learn successfully and achieve their dreams.

When it comes to decorating your house that truly feels like you, I’m your person to translate from scientific research language into the ‘home owner’ language: practical advice & actionable steps.

If you know the value of a well-lived home, but feel overwhelmed…

You are in the right place!

On this website, I write about creating rooms that make you feel good: our connection to nature and living systems isn’t just nice to have; it’s essential to our wellbeing. That’s why I rely on scientific insight into how environments affect our mental state.

Curious About My art Process?

1

Lexie-creative-process-stage-one-images-from-nature-walks

Each of my designs starts with a walk in nature or a museum trip.

I’m one of those people who happily study medieval tapestries, ancient mosaics or enjoy a long forest walk listening to birds and watching animals.

2

I take photos and make hand-drawn sketches.

Sometimes, when my “models” sit still long enough, I even get to sketch them live! Those motifs end up in my acrylic paintings or ink drawings.

Then I process them on my computer, one by one, to create high-quality, scaleable images that can become a mural wallpaper, or upholstery fabric, or a cushion to bring together your room.
